A happy 2026 to all of our customers! Thank you for supporting our small family business for another year! 2025 was another busy year in the Romney's Factory, Office & Warehouse and we thought it would be a good time to share the Romney's 2025 highlights and news you might have missed.
January - European Shipping
For the first time since Brexit, Romney's offered direct shipping to all EU countries, creating new market opportuities and allowing our brand to reconnect with old customers. Throughout 2025 we sent products to 10 different EU countries and proved to be particularly popular with Customers in Ireland, Germany & the Netherlands!
May - Kendal Ladies Golf Club Sponsors
In May Romneys Kendal Mint Cake were very proud to announce the sponsorship of the new team kit for the Ladies Teams at Kendal Golf Club
June - This scoop was 'Mint' to be!
George Romney Ltd were excited to announce that we teamed up with Anya Hindmarch as part of the 2025 Ice Cream Project, bringing customers a delicious Kendal Mint Cake Sorbet. A refreshing and palate-cleansing mint sorbet, with tiny tastes of Romney’s Kendal Mint Cake in the mix.
The pop up store was open from June 7th - 17th August at 11 Pont St, London and attracted attenion from major media outlets across the country.
September - Cumbria Tourism Charity Golf Day
On Wednesday 17th September, Romney's took part in the 2nd Cumbria Tourism Charity Golf Day at Carus Green. The event took place in aid of Cumbria Tourism's 50th anniversary Charitable Fund, where an amazing £7810 was raised!
Team Romney's were looking to retain the title after winning the competition in 2024, but knew it would be a struggle with so many great golfers taking part. The weather was constantly changing, and I couldn't tell you how many times our umbrellas went up and down! Despite the weather, the competition went ahead with no issues thanks to the incredible work of the Carus Green groundkeepers. After finishing the round, the team made their way to the function room to enjoy some food and take part in the charity auction. As the day came to a close, it was time to reveal the results and I'm thrilled to announce that team Romney's won the competition for a second year! Further congratulations go to our Sales Director, Paula Barron, for winning the longest drive competition too!
The money raised from the event will be used to support young people to stay within Cumbria and help kickstart their journey into the tourism and hospitality sector. Throughout 2025, our product development team spent a lot of time focusing on our wholesale customers and how we could improve our bespoke product lines. This focus is continuing into 2026, and we have a very exciting announcement that will be made shortly! Despite our focus on wholesale product design, Romney's did release branded Birthday & Christmas Kendal Mint Cake bars, which have proved to be really popular amongst customers & stockists!
