We are happy to announce that we will once again be sponsoring the Kendal Poetry Festival which is set to launch on Friday 24th June 2022. Kendal Poetry Festival is a bi-annual festival, supported by Arts Council England, which sees people coming to Kendal from across the UK and internationally.
Building on the success of the past two festivals, a ‘Festival Survival Kit’ has been created to distribute to audience members. This will contain a pamphlet (with poems by members of Dove Cottage Young Poets and artwork by our Young Artist in Residence), a Romney's 40g chocolate coated Kendal Mint Cake bar, a tea bag, and a plaster (just in case!).
Kendal Poetry Festival aims to have a local community atmosphere, while celebrating poets of national and international standing, whilst also giving audience members a literal taste of Kendal within the survival kits.
