Situated in the market town of Keswick, Youdale's Newsagents has been serving the local community and visitors for 63 years. The shop closes it's doors for the final time in early 2023 as it's owner Robert Youdale, has decided to retire.
Youdale's was set up by Roberts Father, Peter, in 1959 and has been selling Romney's products ever since. Robert joined the business in the 1980's and has always been a pleasure to deal with as a Romney's customer. Youdale's always had a large selection of Romney's products in it's window display and as a result was one of our best stockists in Keswick.
Speaking to our rep earlier this week, Robert told us that whilst Romney's White Kendal Mint Cake was always his best selling product, our bars of Winter Candy were always his favourite to have a taste of!
Robert also recalled his fond memories of playing golf with second generation Romney's owners Sid & Sylvia Barron, the grandparents of current Romney's MD John Barron.
